Farmer's market owner in Racine County thrilled by Wednesday's rain
STURTEVANT- Wednesday's rain was a sight for sore eyes for many in southeast Wisconsin.
"I'm super excited, usually I hate thunderstorms but since we need the rain so bad I am thrilled," said Kara Guarascio.
Word that rain was on the way was more than welcome news for Kristin Borzynski.
"I'll do my rain dance, I'll get the convertible out with the top down and hope that the rain comes."
She owns Borzynski's Farmer's Market in Racine County. "We're praying for rain," said Kristin Borzynski.
Racine County was under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for most of the day, which would usually be a bad thing.
But blue skies for so long have folks like Borzynski saying they'd rather deal with a severe thunderstorm than no storm at all.
"I'll take the severe as long as nobody's houses blow down, I'm happy for it. Thunderstorms, come on," exclaimed Borzynski.
And they did -- bringing rain and a little relief.
"We need a good soaking. Not a little 'we'll get a half an inch in an hour, ten minutes of rain.' we need a good couple inch soak."
