Strasser appears in court on fleeing charge
MILWAUKEE - A suspected drunk driver who was shown on cell phone video being struck repeatedly by a Milwaukee Police officer was in court Tuesday.
Jeffrey Strasser, 40, is charged with failing to stop the Lamborghini he was driving on Juneau Ave. and N. Water St. in downtown Milwaukee April 12th.
According to a criminal complaint, Strasser ignored officers' commands to get out of the car. He then refused to exit the vehicle, prompting officers to pull him out.
A witness' smartphone video showed Strasser lying on the ground while an officer strikes him twice.
A Milwaukee Police Department investigation determined that the officer did not use excessive force.
