MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A former aide to then-Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker is due to be sentenced on charges of working on a political campaign on county time.

Sixty-one-year-old Darlene J. Wink pleaded guilty in February to two misdemeanor charges. She's scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday.

The counts carry a maximum combined penalty of one year in prison and a $2,000 fine.  However, as part of the plea agreement, prosecutors have agreed not to recommend prison time.

Wink was to be sentenced two months ago, but prosecutors asked for an extension. They said the plea deal required that she cooperate in ongoing investigations of other associates close to Walker.

Five other Walker aides and associates have also been charged, on allegations ranging from embezzlement to campaigning on county time. Walker hasn't been charged.
