Deadly boating incident near Green Bay
GREEN BAY - One person has died in a boating incident on the Bay of Green Bay.
The Brown County Sheriff's Department, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources were called to the Bayshore County Park boat ramp around 7 p.m. Friday for a report of a boat taking on water.
The DNR says the victim had fallen into the water as a result.
The person was pronounced dead at the park. No information about the victim including gender, age, or hometown, was immediately released.
The 17-foot boat didn't sink and was brought back to shore.
The incident remains under investigation.
