Long-time boyfriend in custody for fatal Greenfield stabbing
GREENFIELD - There were a lot of tears Sunday night, but even some laughter as friends and family remembered Maggie Litwicki Davidoff.
"She had a big heart," 12-year-old Kirsten Litwicki says.
Kirsten now faces the new reality of life without her mother. She asked to speak with TODAY'S TMJ4 during a candlelight vigil for her mom.
"I just want to say she was a good person she was a mom to everybody standing here," Kirsten said.
Her mom was stabbed to death inside their home early Saturday morning. Greenfield Police haven't named the man they arrested, but family members say it's Maggie's long-time boyfriend. He's also the father of Maggie's other two children.
Kirsten says her mom was a lover who opened her home to all her young friends.
"She let everybody sleep over at once," Kirsten said.
As the unexplainable loss sinks in, Kirsten will hang on to the lessons her mom taught her.
"I'll miss her hugs and her tucking me in at night and her telling me that I'll be able to go over things and the bridges that come into life."
Friends and family tell TODAY'S TMJ4 her long-time boyfriend has threatened to kill her before. We have confirmed police have him in custody, but it's not clear what charges he could face. He's being held without bail right now.
He's not been charged yet.
