Break from extreme heat, no break from dry conditions in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - The good news for people who suffered through the recent heat wave in Milwaukee: the temperatures on Monday won't reach the supreme levels that scorched our area.
The bad news: there won't be relief for the scorched, dry ground that needs rain so much.
"The break from oppressive heat continues as we enter the new work week, but there will be no relief from the extremely dry weather," said Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.
"A big area of high pressure will dominate conditions providing and abundance of sunshine with gradually warming readings."
Scott warns us, though, that more extreme heat will come, and without the rain this area sorely needs.
"We'll see a return to upper 80s and low 90s by next weekend with no significant rainfall expected through the period."
