OCONOMOWOC, Wis. - Mandatory water restrictions are being considered for residents of Oconomowoc.

A decision is expected to be made in the next week.

Repeat days of extreme heat has put water consumption at an all time high.

Dennis Bednarski with the city's utility company tells Today's TMJ4's Cody Holyoke that water useage has doubled to 4 million gallons a day, and included in that is water being used for irrigation.

Right now, Oconomowoc residents are under a voluntary ban.

One place where the water is in full supply is the city beach.

At the city beach, lifeguards say many people come to find relief.
