MILWAUKEE-- With temperatures reaching triple digits over the past few days, going outside could not only be uncomfortable, but also dangerous.  This leaves people looking for ways to keep cool indoors, especially those who do not have air conditioning in their homes.

The South Shore YMCA opened it's swimming pool up to the community through July 14 and Tom Maurer, of Milwaukee, decided to take his children swimming.

"Aside from something like this, we'd probably be running in the sprinkler outside, in front of the house," Maurer said.

The Petitt Center offered reduced prices for open ice skating and the Wilson Recreation center offered free ice skating Friday. This was a deal that mom Noi Sayaovong couldn't pass up, she brought her girls to cool down.

"Just cool down a little bit here, give them a little energy, then we're going to be battling the heat tonight as we go to Summerfest," said Sayaovong.
