MILWAUKEE- Three people are now dead after a wrong-way driver smashed into three other cars.  It happened early Monday, shutting down Highway 41.

Now we're hearing the 9-1-1 calls from this senseless crash.

The damage done by one wrong-way driver was incredible.

And you can hear it in the voices of not only witnesses to the crash, but even the deputies who responded.

It was the kind of crash people knew was bad -- without even seeing it.

9-1-1 dispatcher: "Were you involved or a witness?"

Caller: "No, I heard it in my house and so did my neighbors so we're just outside."

Caller 2: "It looked like a, Lincoln or a Cadillac.  I just saw the brake lights and saw it was going the way I was going."

Authorities say 22-year-old Takeya Walker was at the wheel of the wrong-way car.

She hit two others -- sending all of them spinning across the road.

9-1-1 dispatcher: "Any injuries?"

Caller 3: "Yeah, there's gonna be multiple. There may even be a fatality."

When sheriff's deputies arrived -- they found Walker and another driver already dead.

A third victim -- was barely conscious in a car about to catch fire.

"I got one trapped inside and it's smoking. Get me the fire department immediately. I need a camera and a supervisor," said one sheriff's deputy.  "Due to the damage to this white vehicle I'm having a difficult time getting in. I'm would have to try and break out the passenger side window."

Efforts to save Kathy Flessert, but she died Wednesday at Froedtert Hospital.

Still no word on why Takeya Walker was on that highway in the first place -- as a sheriff's department spokesperson said Walker didn't have a driver license.
