Summerfest's third day bring Train, American Idol alums
MILWAUKEE - Even with the extreme heat in Southeastern Wisconsin, tens of thousands of people are enjoying the Big Gig.
Summerfest enters its third day with the band Train and an American Idol champion-turned-pop superstar co-headlining.
Train and Kelly Clarkson both perform at the Marcus Amphitheater with Brett Dennen opening up at 7:30 p.m.
The first 2,000 people 21 or older can get in free if they take six Miller High Life bottle caps between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
Other headliners include another American Idol alumnus Kellie Pickler, at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse at 10:00 p.m.
Fun, the "it" band of the moment, headlines the Miller Lite Oasis at 10:00 p.m.
Fellow underground rockers The Hives take over the Summerfest Rock Stage at 10:00 p.m.
Morris Day and the Time groove out the BMO Harris Pavilion at 9:45 p.m.
Summerfest veterans Cowboy Mouth perform at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Stage at 10:00 p.m.
A double bill happens at the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage with MUTEMATH headlining at 10:00 p.m. and The Walkmen at 8:00 p.m., but the evening's sleeper pick comes at 6:45 p.m. on the same stage.
Vanaprasta is considered one of the best unsigned bands in America, and they're starting to turn heads all over the music industry.
