Hot Thursday reached highs of 96
MILWAUKEE- Thursday's Heat Advisory through southeast Wisconsin has expired, but heat indices throughout the day reached over 100 degrees.
The high temperature in southeast Wisconsin Thursday was 96 degrees, but the big factor was the dew points, said Storm Team 4Caster John Malan.
Earlier Thursday in Sullivan, they had a heat index of 113; they are approaching an Excessive Heat Warning, said Malan.
Meanwhile, the Department of Natural Resources issued an ozone advisory for Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine and six other counties until 1 a.m. Friday.
Temperatures Thursday evening were 91 in Waukesha, 90 in Milwaukee, at Summerfest about 85 degrees, 88 degrees in Racine and 90 in Port Washington.
The overnight lows are expected to be in the high 60s or low 70s in most of southeast Wisconsin.
"Temperatures are slowly going down and humidity slowly moves out overnight," said Malan.
