People in Waukesha cooling off during Wednesday's mid-90s temperatures
WAUKESHA- Cooling off at the pool is a popular way to handle Wednesday's mid-90s temperatures, but not everyone is enjoying the hot day outside.
Several parents were with their kids at the pool at Buchner Park.
Parents and kids were splashing around in the pool, cooling off and keeping the kids entertained.
A packed tennis court meant lots of parents in the shade.
From fun in the sun, to working in the heat -- demolition workers are trying to stay cool at 164th and Main Street.
There's no calling it a day in 90 degree temperatures for construction crews.
And they're really hoping for a quiet work day at the Waukesha Fire Department -- where a burn ban is in effect. The chief tells me these tinder like conditions could turn the day ugly very quickly.
"I"m concerned about the rapid spread, especially with the winds that come along with temperatures like this," said Fire Chief Daniel Buchholtz.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Thursday, 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., for all of southeastern Wisconsin.
