Grange Avenue re-opened in Milwaukee after gas line issue
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police Department has re-opened Grange Avenue in both directions after closing it around 14th Street due to a gas line issue.
We Energies' Brian Manthey told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that a contractor was working in the area of South 14th Street and West Grange Avenue when the gas service line was struck at about 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Crews were able to close off the gas line at around 10:05 a.m.
There was no word of any evacuations.
