Sheboygan man identified as victim in Madison drowning
MADISON - A man who drowned in Lake Mendota in Madison on Friday has been identified.
Matthew Roelse, 22, was swimming when he went underwater.
A woman swimming with him tried to rescue him before calling 911.
Roelse was a 2008 graduate of Sheboygan North High School.
