Nichol re-appointed to Wisconsin elections board
MADISON- Gerald Nichol has been re-appointed to the Wisconsin state elections board.
Gov. Scott Walker announced the appointment on Thursday.
Nichol has been a member of the Government Accountability Board since its creation in 2007. He was first appointed by Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle.
Nichol's term expired this year but Walker renewed it Thursday for another six years.
Nichol is one of six non-partisan, retired judges who comprise the board that oversees elections, campaign finance and ethics issues related to office holders in Wisconsin.
Nichol previously served 16 years as a Dane County circuit court judge before retiring in 2004.
