Emerald ash borer discovered in Mukwonago
MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says that crews have found and collected an emerald ash borer in Mukwonago.
A worker for the Village of Mukwonago found the beetle Tuesday near the corner of State Highway 83 and County Highway NN.
Federal officials confirmed Wednesday that the insect was an emerald ash borer.
People have discovered the ash borer in 11 counties in Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Walworth and Washington.
