Mid-90s temperatures expected to continue Wednesday in Milwaukee area

People in the Milwaukee area have been doing a lot of things just to keep cool over the past few days with the temperatures reaching the mid-90s.
That will have to continue Wednesday as well.
"Wednesday is expected to be hot, humid and breezy and sunny" said Storm Team 4Caster John Malan. He expects 92 degrees for start of Wednesday's Brewers game at 1:10 p.m. and by the end of the game, up to 94 degrees.
Malan notes the air is very uncomfortable Tuesday evening as Racine has gone from the 90s to the 70s back to the 80s.
Tuesday's overnight low temperatures will be uncomfortable: 75 in Milwaukee; 74 in Waukesha, West Bend and in Port Washington.
A cold front is expected Wednesday evening and could touch off a shower or thunderstorm.

Milwaukee saw a high of 94 degrees and an average of 77 throughout Tuesday. The dew points ranged from the mid to upper 60s, said Storm Team 4Caster John Malan.
He projects tonight's overnight lows to reach the mid-70s -- very similar to Monday night.
Malan notes there are muggy conditions at Miller Park for Tuesday's Brewers-Blue Jays game.
5:20 p.m.
Temperatures reached 94 degrees in Milwaukee Tuesday, the hottest temperature seen in the Brew City this week.
Storm Team 4Caster John Malan said by the start of the Brewers game at Miller Park, around 7:10 p.m., temperatures around southeast Wisconsin will be close to 90 degrees. By the time the game gets out, around 10 p.m., it is should be around 85 degrees with some breeze.
Kenosha had the highest temperature in southeast Wisconsin Tuesday with a peak of 95 degrees.
Malan followed some weather patterns showing storms to our north and a cold front starting to move in over the next 24 hours.
4:30 p.m.
It's hot.
And it's going to stay hot, says Storm Team 4Caster John Malan.
He expects today's temperatures to range from 92-95 degrees. According to Malan, he sees the dew point in mid to upper 60s and lower 70s -- tropical temperatures.
Tonight's overnight temperatures are supposed to be around the mid 70s.
The heat should be felt tomorrow with temperatures in the 90s. "We're going to get some relief, but that doesn't come in until Wednesday night," said Malan to Newsradio 620 WTMJ.
Malan said there will be a cold front coming in Wednesday night with some possible thunderstorms.

Tuesday has brought the second straight scorcher of a day in the Milwaukee area, a day where temperatures are inching even higher on the outdoor thermometers than Monday.
"Another hot and humid day in southeast Wisconsin with plenty of sunshine, highs will be in the mid-90s!" exclaimed Storm Team 4Caster Jesse Ritka.
"Don't forget the sunscreen or the water bottle if you'll be outdoors today."
Jesse said that the heat and humidity will also bring not-so-comfortable sleeping weather.
"Skies will stay mostly clear tonight with a continuation of warm and muggy conditions as lows are in the low 70s," warned Jesse.
She said Wednesday would bring a near-repeat, before some cool temperatures finally follow some rain.
"A cold front moves in by Wednesday night, bringing some much needed rain and a few thunderstorms through the overnight hours," explained Jesse, who said rain might stick around on Thursday.
"Then, the cloud cover will start to clear, the humidity will drop and temperatures return to near 80 degrees."
The weekend should bring temperatures in the 70's or 80's, according to Jesse.

Milwaukee is in the midst of a end-of-spring heat wave far beyond what's the norm for our area, even in mid-June.
"It certainly looks as though we're going to see 90's, not just today, but again tomorrow," explained Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.
"Our average high temperature for this time of year should be 77 degrees...it's very unusual for us to get a heat wave with readings in the 90's for one day, let alone three days for this time of year."
The old saying goes, "it's not just the heat, it's the humidity." We'll get that as well in our area these two days, according to Scott.
"The dew points have been rising as well on those strong southwest breezes. A lot of moisture is being pumped into Southeastern Wisconsin," said Scott.
"The dew points today will rise into the middle-60's, in which generally, about half of us feel uncomfortable."
What about that "cooler near the lake" phenomenon that makes hot weather more bearable along Lake Michigan.
You won't get it this time, because of the direction of the winds these days.
"When you have a strong southwest breeze, which is what we're going to see today or tomorrow, you won't get any relief unless you're dipping your toes into Lake Michigan," divulged Steele.
Temps in the 90's, southwest winds, humidity: all that will make it feel hotter than it really is, even if Steele doesn't expect an official heat advisory to be issued.
"Our heat indices, which are a combination measurement of temperature and dew points, will be near 100. That's below advisory criteria, but it certainly is going to feel very warm and uncomfortable."
5:48 a.m.
It may still technically be spring, but Milwaukee's official thermometer probably doesn't agree.
That thermometer is edging closer to the 100 degree mark, as the highest temperatures of 2012 so far are expected in Milwaukee.
"We'll continue in the warm sector today with strong Southwest winds once again driving our temperatures into the mid 90s and muggy dew points in the mid 60s," said Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.
"It looks like there should be dry weather with bright skies today and much of Wednesday."
After another day of temperatures in the 90's, Scott tells us rain on Wednesday night should signal a cool down in our area.
"An approaching cold front signals some changes for the end of the week beginning with showers and storms which should fire up Wednesday night," explained Scott.
"Behind the front our temperatures will be a bit cooler, though still warm with highs near 80 degrees. The more noticeable difference will be less muggy air and more comfortable humidity levels."
