Deadly motorcycle crash in Pewaukee
PEWAUKEE - A man has died after a motorcycle crash in the City of Pewaukee.
The victim was 42 years old, from Hartland.
The crash happened at about 7:25 p.m. Sunday night on Capitol Drive west of Yench Road.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department said that the motorcycle was going west on Capitol when the rider lost control of the vehicle, slid down the road and stopped sliding in a yard.
Law enforcement officers found the man lying next to his motorcycle in that yard. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Sheriff's Department noted that the rider was not wearing a helmet, and that high speeds appeared to be a reason for the crash.
Investigators from the department were to continue looking into the crash on Monday.
