Seniors, kids worried about 35th St. speeders
MILWAUKEE- For the senior citizens living in an apartment complex on N. 35th Street, crossing the street is a daily battle.
"Around the time when the kids get out of school, when its traffic hour, ain't nobody get across that street," said Carolyn Carroll, who lives in the complex.
The seniors don't always move that quickly.
The cars driving on 35th between North Avenue and Center Street apparently do.
This tip to came in as an e-mail from the manager of the senior apartment complex.
"It is just going to be a matter of time before there is a fatality due to the excessive speeds," wrote Jeff Sessions.
The limit here is 30 -- but drops to 20 when children are present, and kids were all over on the morning we visited.
Which made the speeds on 35th street even more egregious.
