MILWAUKEE- Union leaders are reacting to Governor Walker's call for the unity following his win in Tuesday's historic recall election.

Gov. Walker wants to bring the state back together, but to AFSCME Local 48's Rich Abelson, "I don't believe him...This is not a guy who has a history of compromise."

Abelson told Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Wisconsin's Afternoon News he has a lot of experience working with the governor, "If I honestly believed that the governor was interested in working with anyone who didn't share 100% of his agenda, I'm more than happy to work with the governor."

Abelson said Walker is unlike anyone he's worked with before.

"There's nobody I've ever worked with who embodies the attitude of 'my way or the highway' more than Scott Walker does."

Governor Walker is stressing that he wants to mend political fences in Wisconsin.

The governor has planned a "beer and brats" summit as a way to start to try and bridge the gap between Republicans and Democrats.
