Five recall races besides governor on Wisconsin ballots Tuesday
MILWAUKEE - Besides the governor's race, there were five other recall elections slated for Tuesday.
Republican Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch was to face a challenge by Democrat Mahlon Mitchell, the president of the Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin.
The balance of the Wisconsin State Senate was also at stake.
In Racine, a heated rematch was set between Republican incumbent Senator Van Wanggaard and former Senator-turned-incumbent John Lehman.
Also in Southeastern Wisconsin, Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald faces a challenge from Democrat Lori Compas.
If Democrats win one of the four Senate races, they will take over the majority.
