Madison sunbather dies ten days after accident with city truck
MADISON - Less than ten days after a 38 year old woman was hit by a city truck while sunbathing, she has died.
The Dane County Medical Examiner's office was expected to perform an autopsy on the woman Saturday.
Police say the accident happened at James Madison Park and that the driver of the Madison city truck did not see the sunbather.
The truck was operating along a grassy area of the park at 314 East Gorham Street on the south shore of Lake Mendota and delivering bark.
It was initially believed that the woman would recover from the injuries she sustained in the accident.
