CAMPBELLSPORT - On her grandma's front porch and with mom at her side, seven-year-old Aryanna Schneeberg showed reporters the bandage that covers a wound left by an arrow in her back.  Her stomach is lined with stitches from the emergency surgery to remove that arrow.

"I was walking on the sidewalk and the arrow just came," Aryanna explained.

Aryanna was playing with her sisters on the sidewalk in front of her house in Campbellsport when that arrow hit her.

"It felt weird," the girl explained.  "Only my stomach hurt."

"She's a walking miracle," Aryanna's mother, Laura, said.  "She really is."

Detectives from the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office interviewed Aryanna in Campbellsport Tuesday.  They have yet to find the archer who fired the stray arrow that struck the child.

"We're just going to go out and talk to all the residents again to see if they recall anything, saw anything," said Lt. Cameron McGee.  "It could have come from several hundred yards away.  It could have come from close."

While Aryanna smiled and played with a puppy in her grandma's yard, she is afraid to go outside alone.  Her family may actually move to get away from the memory of that day.

"We know somebody didn't do it on purpose," Laura Schneeberg said.  "We just wish they would come forward and say that they did it."

Aryanna planned to visit her first grade classmates later in the week.

A $500 reward is offered for information leading to the person who fired the arrow.

The family has set up a fund in Aryanna Schneeberg's name at National Exchange Bank and Trust to help cover expenses.
