Crews reopen I-43/94 southbound after truck crash

MILWAUKEE - Crews have reopened all lanes of I-43/94 southbound near Oklahoma Avenue after a rollover crash involving a truck and a car on Monday morning.

A Milwaukee County Sheriff's spokeswoman said the driver of the car has cited for reckless driving and two people have been hospitalized after the crash.  It happened about 10:45 a.m. Monday morning.

"We had a reckless driver in a Jaguar strike the rear of a truck that was pulling a trailer," said spokeswoman Fran McLaughlin.  "Witness statements indicate that he was gong in and out of traffic and struck the rear of the trailer,. causing the truck to lose control and roll over.

"The two occupants of the truck were both transported to Froedtert (Hospital in Wauwatosa) with complaints of back and neck injuries."

Crews were diverting traffic off the freeway at the Becher Street exit. 

Cars that were behind the truck but past Becher Street were being diverted through the area on a distress lane.
