Donald Driver visits Waukesha elementary school
WAUKESHA-- It was a day students at Summit View Elementary school will never forget.
More than 645 kids packed the school gym for a very special visit from Donald Driver.
The students won some time with the Super Bowl winning wide receiver, and Dancing With the Stars champ for winning a contest sponsored by Goodwill.
They collected more than 74-thousand items to donate to the charity that Driver has been working with for 10 years.
"We're very proud of the hard work of our students," said principal Jeff Peterson. Last year, the school came in third place.
During a question and answer period, Driver was asked lots of questions about his "Dancing" experience. He even showed off a few dance moves with a teacher and student.
Driver thanked the students for their contribution to Goodwill, saying that he is "a strong believer in the power of work".
