MILWAUKEE - People looking to enjoy their Memorial Day weekend without facing very high temperatures may want to take advantage of a beautiful Friday, before the rest of  the weekend brings temperatures around 90 degrees.

"A cool front has passed through Southeast Wisconsin dropping today's expected high temperatures a bit from yesterday's 80s," said Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele while previwing  Friday's beautiful weather.

"Dry air works back in, too with a mostly sunny sky."

Once Friday's wonderful weather leaves, storms could sweep through.

"The tail end of that boundary lifts back into our region as a warm front which could trigger some scattered showers and thunderstorms for the first day of our holiday weekend," explained Scott.

Then, sweltering heat is expected to bake our region.

"By Sunday our area will be solidly in the warm sector sending our temperatures soaring back to near 90 degrees with plenty of sunshine.  Memorial Day looks to remain quite warm with a return to some scattered showers and thunderstorms."
