MILWAUKEE - The pattern of sunshine and warm weather continues in Milwaukee on Wednesday, with the operative word being warm.

Temperatures will increase in our area, according to Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.

"Southerly winds will give our temperatures a big boost beginning today and continuing into Thursday," said Scott.

"Those winds will also increase significantly by tomorrow with strong gusts coming ahead of a frontal boundary which will stall just to our west throughout Wednesday."

Precipitation isn't expected in our area until Thursday night, according to Scott.

"Our more stable air mass will inhibit any wet weather in Southeast Wisconsin until the front finally makes its way closer Thursday night into early Friday.  That's when we could see a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms."

Scott also looked ahead to the Memorial Day weekend, where both sun and rain could come.

"At this point, the holiday weekend looks to be quite warm with plenty of sunshine Sunday, but the potential of some scattered showers and storms on Saturday and Memorial Day."
