WAUKESHA - Waukesha Police tell Newsradio 620 WTMJ that Waukesha West High School went on lockdown Tuesday morning.

Captain Ron Oremus explained that at about 8:30 a.m., the school went on lockdown after a man was hunting a coyote in the area near the school.

The lockdown ended about a half hour later.

The man wasn't cited because he never left his property when hunting the coyote.

Waukesha West High School officials said they locked down the school as a precaution.
