Strong storms possible Sunday afternoon
MILWAUKEE - We continue the summer-like weather for this Sunday as temperatures will again soar into the mid-80s for most of southeastern Wisconsin. On a breezy south-southwest wind the humidity will increase slightly as well the temps.
A cold front will move in this afternoon, increasing the cloud cover and bringing a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 3pm.
Some of those storms could be on the stronger side and may produce hail as well as strong wind gusts but not everyone will see severe weather. The chance for showers diminishes late tonight and temperatures will drop into the low 50s.
Behind that cold front temperatures will be 20 degrees colder but skies will start to clear by the afternoon hours, allowing some sunshine to accompany the 60s.
High pressure rolls back in on Tuesday, bringing seasonable temperatures and sunshine. We warm back up into the 70s by Wednesday and stay there into Memorial Day weekend.
