Speed cited as a factor in fatal motorcycle crash
CALUMET COUNTY, Wis. - A motorcyclist is dead after a traffic accident Saturday afternoon.
Police say the victim, a 40 year old Menasha, Wisconsin, man was headed eastbound on Highway 10 in the town of Harrison when he lost control of his motorcycle.
The motorcycle entered the westbound lanes of Highway 10 and was hit head on by a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 76 year old Menasha man, was not injured, but a passenger in the pickup truck did suffer minor injuries and was taken to a local medical facility.
Wisconsin State Patrol believe that speed played a role in the crash.
