MADISON - A woman accused, along with her husband, of starving and torturing the man's 15-year-old daughter has been released from jail.
After hearing arguments from defense attorneys that the couple has no money and their bail should be lowered to signature bonds, a Dane County judge Friday lowered bail for Chad Chritton and Melinda Drabek-Chritton to $9,000 each.
It had originally been set at $22,500 for Chad Chritton and $30,000 for Melinda Drabek-Chritton.
The husband is still in custody.
The couple has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
