Milwaukee Police to release race-based data about traffic stops
MILWAUKEE - On Thursday morning, the City of Milwaukee's common council was to learn race-based information collected by Milwaukee Police during traffic stops.
The department was to present a report to the Milwaukee Common Council Public Safety Committee.
A city ordinance requires officers to continue collecting race information of people involved in traffic stops.
A similar state law has been repealed.
