Memorial for Orfordville soldier on Tuesday
ORFORDVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- A decorated soldier from Orfordville will be laid to rest Tuesday.
Cpl. Benjamin Neal was killed in action April 25 in Kandahar, Afghanistan when enemy forces attacked his unit. He was 21 years old.
The Beloit Daily News (http://bit.ly/KZemZ7bit.ly/KZemZ7 ) says a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. William Catholic Church in Janesville. A public memorial service was held Monday at Parkview High School in Orfordville where Neal graduated in 2009.
Neal's body was returned last Saturday when hundreds of people lined his hometown streets for a procession in his honor.
Neal's awards include the NATO Medal, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Amy Commendation Medal and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Stars.
