MMSD says no wastewater in lake, but south side sewer overflow after storms
MILWAUKEE - The Milwauke Metropolitan Sewerage District has told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that the heavy weekend rain did not cause them to dump wastewater into Lake Michigan in what are known as combined sewer overflows.
MMSD spokesman Bill Graffin says there was a seperate sewer overflow at 35th and Manitoba in Milwaukee.
He says it lasted two minutes when too much water came in the sewer pipe in that area.
Crews are still looking at other isolated areas to make sure there were no other overflows.
