Three killed in Portage Co crash identified
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) -- Investigators say alcohol, speed and a lack of seat belts contributed to the Portage County crash that killed three men.
Nineteen-year-old Joey Trzebiatowski, 25-year-old Nicholas Czech (chek) and 29-year-old Scott Dean were killed in a fiery weekend crash near Stevens Point. Their truck slid across Highway 66, into a ditch and struck a utility pole and embankment before igniting.
Portage County Coroner Scott Rifleman says all three appeared to have died as a result of the crash, before the truck burst into flames. The Wausau Daily Herald (http://wrtnews.co/IufqXM ) says the three were identified Monday through autopsies in Madison.
