MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The three newest regents for the University of Wisconsin System are getting set to begin their terms.
The Board of Regents has 18 members. Sixteen regents serve seven-year terms, while two student regents are appointed to two-year terms.
The newest members who received seven-year appointments include Regina Millner, who serves on a number of boards in the Madison community.
She'll be joined by John Behling, a vice president at an Eau Claire law firm. He and Millner earned law degrees from UW-Madison
The new student representative will be Tracy Hribar. She studies business administration at UW-Parkside.
The Board of Regents establishes policies and rules for governing the UW System. The regents help set admissions policies and approve university budgets.
