Human remains from McGovern Park identified
MILWAUKEE- Authorities have confirmed the identity of the human remains found on a tiny island at Milwaukee's McGovern Park back on March 28.
The Milwaukee County medical examiner's office said they used dental records to identify the victim as 49-year-old Jeffrey Avery.
Avery was last seen by his family in February, 2008.
The cause of his death is unknown and authorities do not suspect foul play.
According to the Milwaukee fire department, an employee with the USDA made the gruesome discovery while doing work with the goose eggs in the park.
