Mukwonago man seriously injured in motorcycle crash
WAUKESHA - A man from Mukwonago is recovering from what are described as serious head and internal injuries after a motorcycle crash.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department says that the crash happened at about 7:05 p.m. Wednesday on Green Lane south of Sunset Drive in the Town of Waukesha.
Sheriff's squad cars found the motorcycle rider unconscious near his bike. Flight for Life took the man to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. There was no initial update on his condition early Thursday.
The Sheriff's Department noted that the man was not wearing a helmet when he was found.
According to a department official, an investigation shows that the 41-year-old man was going eastbound on Green Lane when he lost control of his motorcycle at a curve.
The motorcycle then slid across the westbound lan and stopped in a line of trees 30 feet away from the road.
Authorities believe the wet road factored into the crash.
