SLINGER- The Washington County's sheriff's department has released the unedited 9-1-1 call made by the wife of the man that shot and killed Bo Morrison back on March 3.

According to police, Morrison, 20, was drunk and broke into the homeowner's porch around 2 a.m. on March 3 while trying to hide from authorities.  The homeowner thought someone broke into his house, and he shot and killed Morrison, then the homeowner's wife called 9-1-1.

Authorities originally released an edited version of the call and said that the caller's use of names and other identifying information were the only things removed.

Morrison's family requested the unedited version because they thought the suspect might be heard using a racial slur or making other statements that would show he wasn't just acting in self-defense.

The Journal Sentinel notes that in the unedited version of the 9-1-1 call, the shooter didn't use any racial slurs or make any other incriminating statements.

Below is a portion of that 9-1-1 call:

Wife: 'I need an ambulance and the cops to be called.  Someone was in our house.''

9-1-1 Operator: ''Are they still there?''

Wife: ''My husband fired.  They were in the back hall and my husband fired shots.''

9-1-1 Operator: ''He did? Did he hit anybody?''

Wife: ''Yes."

Operator: "Is it a male or a female that he hit?"

Wife: "Male."

9-1-1 Operator: "Where did he hit him?"

Wife: "In the chest."

Operator: "Is he still breathing?"

Wife: "No."

The Washington County district attorney's office didn't charge the owner, saying,"the homeowner acted lawfully in self defense when he fired a single shot at Mr. Morrison," said the press release.

The Associated Press reported that the homeowner knew police were nearby when he shot Morrison.
