Wisconsin Farm Bureau says food costs up 2.5% since late 2011
MILWAUKEE - Food prices at the supermarket are increasing, according to the latest Wisconsin Farm Bureau survey.
High energy costs may be to blame for an increase of 2.5% compared to the fourth quarter of 2011.
Among the food items that are increasing the most, according to the survey:
- bacon
- chicken breast
- ground chuck
- whole milk
