Wisconsin man hurt when concrete breaks windshield
MADISON- A Wisconsin man is hospitalized with serious injuries after a softball-size chunk of concrete broke through his windshield.
The Dane County sheriff's office says 50-year-old Kevin Droz of Fall River was driving north on Interstate 39 when the concrete hit him in the head Tuesday evening.
Droz was able to drive himself to a hospital. He was then airlifted to the UW Hospital.
The Department of Transportation has determined the concrete did not fall from a bridge. Anyone with information is asked to call the Dane County sheriff's tip line.
