Caledonia man falls down stairs, dies after celebrating job promotion
CALEDONIA - A man who was apparently celebrating a promotion at work dies after falling down some stairs in Caledonia.
Police in Caledonia say Lance Benson's death appears to be an accident.
He was found dead at the bottom of the stairs in his home.
Benson's wife told police her husband had been celebrating a promotion at his job last Friday night, and had started drinking around 6:30 p.m.
She went to bed at around 11:00 p.m.
When she woke up the next morning, she found her husband's body at the bottom of the stairs.
Police think the death was accidental.
