Wis. man gets life in 2007 stabbing death
WAUPACA, Wis. (AP) -- A New London man has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted in a 2007 stabbing death.
Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said Thursday that 35-year-old Chad Magolski was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole or extended supervision.
A Waupaca County jury convicted Magolski of first-degree intentional homicide last month.
Jurors convicted Magolski of killing 77-year-old James Park in Park's New London apartment in December 2007.
Magolski lived in a different unit in the building at the time. The complaint suggested that Magolski killed Park in a robbery and used some of the money to pay his overdue rent and utilities.
