Tuesday saw chilly temperatures following freeze warning
MILWAUKEE- Tuesday was the coldest day of the week in southeast Wisconsin, with temperatures reaching a high of 41 at Mitchell International Airport, according to Storm Team 4Caster John Malan.
That follows early Tuesday morning's freezing temperature in the western counties of southeast Wisconsin and several other parts of the state.
Tuesday evening's temperatures and windchills dropped into the low 30s throughout most of southeast Wisconsin. The overnight temperatures are expected to be cold again: 32 degrees in Milwaukee, 34 in Racine, 30 in Waukesha and Burlington and 28 in Beaver Dam and Whitewater.
Wednesday is expected to have mostly sunny skies and the winds will not be as bad, according to John. Temperatures could reach as high as 55 in Waukesha and 48 in Milwaukee. Patchy frost is still possible Wednesday night with lows of 30 in Waukesha, 33 in the city on light westerly winds.
Thursday is expected to be a nice day and probably the best of the week.
