MTEA votes down salary reduction proposal to help cut class sizes
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee teachers' union members voted down a plan to cut their pay to reduce class sizes.
Almost 2,300 of the 3,900 members of the Milwaukee Teachers' Education Association who voted said no to the proposal.
The campaign was intended to show that teachers were willing to contribute a part of their salary to keep class sizes at a more reasonable level.
