Record heat possible on first day of spring in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE - The last day of winter felt like a day in summer in Milwaukee. So should the first day of spring.
Storm Team 4Caster Jesse Ritka predicts temperatures to challenge the all-time record high for this day.
"77° is the record high in Milwaukee, set back in 1921, and we should get there today before the afternoon lake breeze kicks in," said Jesse.
"Expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies today with a warm wind from the south at 10-15mph."
Jesse tells us Wednesday should also bring a day of record-challenging heat before a temperature drop and precipitation on Thursday.
"A cold front to our west that has been moving at almost snail pace will move in on Thursday, dropping temperatures into the 60s and more importantly bringing a good chance for rain and a few thunderstorms," explained Jesse.
