Wisconsin Legislature adjourns session
MADISON- The Wisconsin Legislature has adjourned its two-year session after more than 30 hours of debate in the Assembly.
The Assembly passed a flurry of bills Friday evening. It concluded a prolonged debate that went well past the last scheduled day for floor debate in the Senate and Assembly.
Lawmakers debated off and on throughout Thursday and into Friday. They spent most of Friday stuck on a bill that would rework the Milwaukee Area Technical College board. They eventually passed the legislation without any amendments.
The Assembly passed dozens of bills in its last hours, including legislation on water permit restrictions and an anti-harassment bill.
The state Senate finished its final day of work on Thursday.
