Bucks fan wins $10k with halfcourt shot
MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee Bucks fan and season ticket holder is $10,000 richer after hitting a half-court shot during a contest Wednesday night.
Craig Wambold, from Dousman, nailed the shot as part of the halftime entertainment during the Bucks' 115-105 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
"Banked it," Wambold said to Bucks voice Ted Davis during the game broadcast on Newsradio 620 WTMJ. "That's the way to go."
Unlike many NBA stars who often "know" the ball is going in after releasing the shot, Wambold was not so confident.
"I thought it was short the whole time."
