State emergency officials urging drivers to stay off the roads

MILWAUKEE- State emergency officials are urging drivers to stay off the roads -- as they are closely monitoring severe weather that's slicing across the eastern part of Wisconsin.
"We'd like everyone to really reconsider any travel," said Tod Pritchard with Wisconsin Emergency Management. "We're really concerned about road conditions deteriorating fairly quickly throughout the Milwaukee area, north to Green Bay and into Door County."
Pritchard said the storm system will include intense moments of snowfall with at some points -- two inches falling per hour. The storm system is moving very quickly and the worst should be over by around 10 p.m., according to Pritchard.
Storm Team 4Caster Brian Gotter's latest projection has 3-7 inches of snow expected in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties; 5-9 inches to the northern counties; 2-5 inches of snow to the southern counties.
