CHICAGO - A federal panel of judges in Chicago was to hear arguments about where the Elmbrook School District should hold high school graduation ceremonies.

A group called Americans United for Separation of Church and State filed a lawsuit demanding the Brookfield Central and Brookfield East High Schools move their graduation ceremonies.

They have been held for years at Elmbrook Church.

The group claims it's a clear violation of church and state.

Elmbrook school officials have said in the past that their graduation ceremonies are solely secular.

  1. It's AMAZING how many idiots don't know what "Separation of Church and State" really means. It means that someone who holds an office in the church should not hold a political office at the same time and vise versa - has nothing to do with graduation
